German Shepherd puppies for sale

I originally purchased Jada as a family pet and protector. Jada developed into such a wonderful companion and obedient dog with a sound temperament that I felt she was the perfect candidate to start my breeding program for working czech lines. She is a safe dog in public, good with all people and children. She is especially protective of my 4 month old son which came completely natural to her. Jada is a very agile and confident female with good drives. She has excellent retrieve drives. Her favorite game is retrieving in water whether it be a lake or ocean waves. She also has a very high prey drive and the instinct to hunt. Despite this inherited trait she can live harmoniously with a cat with the right training or early socialization. She is indifferent to gun fire and loves to practice search and rescue. Click here for Jada z Old Farms Pedigree.
Jada is Czech Republic and comes from long lines of Champions.
Hips and Elbows xrayed and cleared by 2 veterinarians for breeding.
Dam: Cinda z Daskonu: IPO 1, SchH1, SchH2, VPG2.
Cinda is medium large and strong female with excellent temperament.
Cinda loves tracking and loves to do protection. Her protection is real.
Navar Hronovsky pramen ZVV3 is an extremely impressive stud dog from the Czech Republic's famous Jinopo Kennel. He is a son of the famous Pluto z Pohranicni straze ZVV2 (who is in turn a son of Chuligan z PS). Navar is a typical son of Pluto z Pluto z Pohranicni straze. He inherited his strong bones, strong stud head, dark pigmentation and mainly his temperament. Navar is a dog with huge self confidence who would like to rule his neighborhood. Compared to his father, Pluto, he is much more agile and has harder protection skills. His favorite disciplines are tracking and protection. He has very good obedience but he trains often. Navar is a member of the 5th bloodline from his sire's side and from his mother's side he belongs to the 3rd bloodline that is always everywhere and excels training ability. Navar is a stud who can be used in the breeding program everywhere you need to improve the bone strength, pigmentation and overall self-confidence.

A common question about dogs and children is allergies. Below is a very interesting article on the subject.
Allergy Fighters
"The old thinking was that if your family had a pet, the children were more likely to become allergic to the pet. And if you came from an allergy-prone family, pets should be avoided," says researcher James E. Gern, MD, a pediatrician at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
However, a growing number of studies have suggested that kids growing up in a home with "furred animals" -- whether it's a pet cat or dog, or on a farm and exposed to large animals -- will have less risk of allergies and asthma, he tells WebMD.
In his recent study, Gern analyzed the blood of babies immediately after birth and one year later. He was looking for evidence of an allergic reaction, immunity changes, and for reactions to bacteria in the environment.
If a dog lived in the home, infants were less likely to show evidence of pet allergies -- 19% vs. 33%. They also were less likely to have eczema, a common allergy skin condition that causes red patches and itching. In addition, they had higher levels of some immune system chemicals -- a sign of stronger immune system activation.
"Dogs are dirty animals, and this suggests that babies who have greater exposure to dirt and allergens have a stronger immune system," Gern says.
To create quality working line Czech German Shepherds with strong drives. Currently offering only 1 litter per year. We want to continue to preserve the Old Line German Shepherd Dog as originally intended by Max von Stephanitz, the creator of the breed. We want to continue to improve the breed and expect the offspring of this matched breeding to create dogs that are hard working when given the opportunity but also great companions with great temperaments in the home. Our dogs are not for every person, we probably have just as many questions for you as you do for us! We want to ensure our puppies go to the best homes for the right purpose. All puppies will be temperment tested before they go to their new homes. If you do not have experience with choosing a puppy, we will do our best to match the right dog for your personality and goals.
Goals for our breeding program

A very frequently asked question:
"I am not looking to spend a lot but I want a German Shepherd puppy, what do you suggest?"
Or "I am looking for a family dog. not a show dog so I shouldn't have to spend a lot."
My answer to this and similar questions is this:
You get what you pay for. When you do your research and know what you want, don't expect to be cheap and get something good. You are talking about a long commitment for the life of the dog. My puppies are priced at what they are worth and the time, effort and commitment I put into them is well worth it. Think about it, you go into a petstore and pay at least $800 to $2000 depending on what area you live in - and end up with a dog that has health problems, temperament issues or worse. You don't get to meet any of their parents, see the conditions they grew up in, etc. You pay for the dog, leave and then never hear from that place again. A good breeder should check up on their puppies every now and then just to make sure things are going well and offer advice if their are any concerns. Maybe you open up the newspaper and found some puppies for sale in there priced at $500 to $750.. why? Could be because a backyard breeder decided they could get rid of their puppies quick and still make a profit if they price them lower, eliminating the chance of having them much past 8 weeks. Odds are they paid around that price or less for the parents of these puppies and now you have another generation of low quality dogs.
Look at it this way, you may be spending less up front but the risk you are taking of having to spend thousands on vet bills later is much higher than you realize. Here are 2 examples: I have 2 training clients that both purchased their dogs from a petstore. The first was a mastiff, she paid with a credit card and because of that ended up paying almost $4000 for the dog by the time she paid it off! The dog got injured because of bad hips and she had to spend another $1500 in vet bills! Now of course no one can foresee the future and any dog can get hurt but had she spent $2000 on a quality dog rather than a puppy mill from a petstore, I bet she would've saved a lot of money. The second client purchased a German Shepherd from a petstore. He spent around $2500 for this puppy. I have yet to see a dog with more temperament issues than this dog. The torture this family went through trying to fix this dogs behavior problems was heartbreaking. They had no choice but to rehome him - luckily to a quieter home with 2 dedicated owners that still manage his behavior to this day but he will never be normal. I grew an attachment to this dog and to know that it was all due to bad breeding is infuriating.
Being a trainer, working with rescue dogs and breeding quality shepherds myself I get to see all sides of the dog world and my advice is you either save up your money and buy good quality or rescue a dog. Of course there is a risk with rescue dogs as well but at least you are saving a life, and odds are you are getting a vet checked dog for around $300 or less. Leaving plenty of extra money for veterinary care, training etc. The statement "I'm just looking for a family dog, not a show dog" is more the reason to purchase a quality dog. You want a dog that will be safe around your children! Just because the dog is from champion bloodlines doesn't mean you have to compete with it, it just means you have a much higher chance that if brought up right this dog will be a great, safe companion for your family and have a much less chance of having hips, health or temperament problems.
