*Here is a breakdown of my services for Staten Island, Brooklyn and New York City.
* In Your Home Training *
All dogs benefit from my training no matter which option you choose. Some dogs especially those with dominance issues would benefit greatly from in your home training. That way the dog is in his/her territory. I have different package options for this. Typically 2 sessions or 5 sessions. Most dogs do not need any more than 5 sessions. I don't believe in wasting your time or money. I analyze your situation and tell you my opinion of how many sessions it will most likely require. A lot of the time I will tell my clients to start with 2 sessions and if you feel you need more, you can later add it on to the full 5 and just subtract the difference in price.

**If you don't want the free in home consultation I also offer Free phone consultations. I do my best to evaluate your situation over the phone based on your descriptions and answers to my questions. Then I quote you my prices to each option.
* Boarding and Training *
One on one training with the owner is usually best. However sometimes there are a few problems that the dog would do better without the owners presence for rehabilitation. Or maybe you just don't have the time to train the dog yourself and it would be easier for you if the dog already knew everything. Don't think this means your off the hook, every dog needs consistency from the owner. I just mean that I can devote the time to teaching your dog all the things it needs to know and making it so your dog is better behaved and reliable. See, when we do the one on one training I teach the dog the command but it is up to you to practice everyday in order to make the dog become reliable with his/her commands. By doing the boarding and training I am the one making the dog reliable and you just need to continue to follow through at home but your dog already knows exactly what is expected once you give him the que.
Depending on your needs and the needs of your dogs will help decide how long I will need to keep the dog with me. If it is something as simple as housebreaking a puppy then one to two weeks may be sufficient. If you want the full obedience package with all commands learned then I may need to keep him/her for 3 weeks. The same free phone consultation will be offered and/or in your home free consultation to help decide your best option.
*the time spent with me for training will consist of me bringing the dog to my home upstate and will include daily walks, excercise, play, socialization and swimming depending on the season.
* Group Classes *
Group classes work well for puppies. They are a nice place to socialize and it creates plenty of distractions to work with. Older dogs can benefit from a group class as well. Group classes are mainly for basic obedience. By that I mean, no dogs with aggression issues or major fearful issues belong in a group setting. It is too overwhelming for them and takes away from time that everyone equally payed for. If your dog has any aggression towards dogs or people I will be happy to handle that with in home training. Please do not try to put them in a group setting.
Group classes are also good as some extra brushing up after they have already been trained. Maybe we did some in home training already and now you just want to join a group class for some extra socialization or fine tuning. Group classes are a great place to do that.
**Right now I am offering One Day Workshops - 2 hours long to cover the most important parts of the beginning of obedience training such as Heel, Sit, No, Okay, some jumping, nipping etc. If there is anything you have a problem with during the class I will be happy to help address it after class as well.
* Boarding *
Going on vacation, have a crazy work week? Send your dog away for vacation too! You can feel confident your dog will be taken care of as if it were one of my own. Small dogs or very dog friendly dogs are welcome to stay in my own home with me. Other dogs will have their own mini cabin to stay in, with a safe crate to sleep in. ( if you are not comfortable with your dog being crated we will do our best to accomodate you. We only do this for the safety of your dog at night and for short resting periods throughout the day. ) A very large fenced in area of about 2500 square feet coming soon. Dogs will be supervised at all times when outside the crates. They will have tunnels to run through, and different obstacles to play on. Basically a playground for your dog! At your request, if you know 110% that your dog is not the type to run away they are welcome to run off leash with my dogs on our 10 acres of property. Otherwise they will have on leash walks throughout the property daily as well. We also take them swimming or ice skating depending on the season! No more worries of your dog moping around in some kennel, they will be having so much fun they won't even notice your gone. Toys and treats will be provided throughout the day for no extra cost.

**Dogs must be up to date on vaccines and be vaccinated every 6 months for kennel cough. We are very conscious of the well being of your dogs. That is why we require every 6 months vaccinated for Bordatella since it is such an easy sickness to catch. We want to prevent as best we can any type of illness transfered.
