Group classes: One Day workshops held at Biscuit Magoo. Date: What Your Dog Should Expect When You’re Expecting: Saturday May 15th, 2010 11am Cost: Free (Donations Accepted): The arrival of a new baby can be an exciting and stressful time…even for your pup! This workshop focuses on the basics of preparation for your dog. What to do, when to do it and how to get your pup ready BEFORE the baby arrives! Bite Prevention for Children: Saturday May 15th, 2010 Cost: Free (Donations Accepted) 12pm. A great workshop for young children! This class teaches children what to do (and what not to do) when meeting a strange dog. Helps show children how to be safe around dogs to avoid scary bites. Introductory Obedience: Sunday May 16th, 2010 12pm – 2pm Cost: $45: Two hour workshop focusing on basics like heel, sit, NO and OK.This class will cover the basis for the most important commands your dog can learn. Having your dog walk next to you with no pulling on the leash is extremely important to have leadership over your dog. Your dog should also sit on command when you tell it, and understand the word NO. There is no need to teach your dog any other negative command, once he understands NO you can use it for anything you don't want him to do. This will help basic manners, nipping/mouthing, some jumping, excessive barking, chewing/stealing things etc. Classes are ages 4 months and up. Boarding:
Some boarding is offered in my home upstate. I pick up the dog and bring them to my home. I have a fully fenced in yard for them to play in during the day. One week or more only. Contact to find out available times. Otherwise my recommended boarding place is Biscuit Magoo located in tottenville. Petsitting also offered by Biscuit Magoo.
Note: we need a copy of your dog vaccinations BEFORE the first class. Please send it with the signed contract and payment. You can also scan it and e-mail it.
